Motorola's Atrix is the manufacturer's flagship and the most powerful smarthpone to date. It sports a dual-core 1GHz processor, Nvidia Tegra graphics and an option to turn it into a laptop by attaching it to an ultra-thin dock that includes both an 11-inch screen, speakers and keyboard.
AT&T are currently selling the device for $199.99 with contract, but it is even cheaper over at Amazon Wireless, which is now selling it for just $24.99 with plan.

The operating system in this laptop equivalent smartphone is Android 2.2 Froyo, but that says very little about the full range of features in the Atrix. As the name implies it supports ultra-fast 4G data transfer rates (HSDPA 14Mbps Category 10). There are dual cameras included; one intended for photography with 5 megapixel resolution, auto-focus and LED flash, and a front-facing camera for video chat funtionality. And this is still just the tip of the iceberg.
In terms of connectivity it features not only 4G, but also Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and transports media to your compatible HDTV game console or media extender over DLNA. When you hook it up to the optional Lapdock that turns the device into a laptop, you also get desktop-style web access via Firefox - including support for Flash content. The interface looks a lot like Mac OS X, with animated icons at the bottom of the screen that provides access to the included applications. The Webtop app automatically saves the state of your laptop session when you unplug the Atrix from the dock.
Needless to say, a GPS module is included as well as an accelerometer. The touchscreen display is a 4-inch with qHD resulution - an acronym for Quarter High Definition, or 960 x 540 pixels - covered with exceptionally durable Corning Gorilla Glass.
The dual-core processor is complemented by 1GB of DDR2 computer memory, 16GB of built-in Flash storage expandable with an optional 32GB micro-SD memory card. To put it simply; the Motorola Atrix takes the specs of any current high-end smartphone and doubles them.
It weighs 4.76 ounces and measures 4.64 x 2.5 x 0.43 inches. The included 1930 mAh battery is rated at 9 hours of talk time and 250 hours (more than ten days) of standby time, which is pretty incredible considering the powerful hardware. It runs on all the GSM/GPRS/EDGE frequencies in addition to AT&T's dual-band 4G network.
If you want the single most powerful smartphone on the planet, the Motorola Atrix 4G is the one you are looking for.
